K2 Series

The Future of Desktop Manufacturing

Speed. Intelligence. Multi-Colour Mastery.

The Creality K2 Series represents a paradigm shift in 3D printing technology. Moving beyond the limitations of traditional bed-slinger designs, the K2 Series is built on a robust CoreXY motion system, delivering industrial-grade speed and precision to every level of user.

From the entry-level K2 SE, classroom-friendly K2 Pro to the production-ready K2 Plus, every machine in this lineup is engineered to integrate seamlessly with the Creality Filament System (CFS), unlocking the power of intelligent multi-colour and multi-material printing.

The K2 Series is not just an upgrade; it is a complete ecosystem. By bringing Active Chamber Heating to the Pro and Plus models, Creality has finally solved the warping issues that plague ABS and ASA printing on desktop machines. Whether you are a school needing safe PLA printers or an engineer printing carbon fibre drone parts, this series has a tailored solution.

K2 Series 3D Printers

<em>K2 Plus</em>

K2 Plus

The Industrial Titan

Best For: If you want to print big! Print Farms, Cosplay, wanting to make large scale functional parts, jigs and fixtures.

The Hardware Difference:

Build Volume: 350 x 350 x 350 mm

Chamber: Active Heated Chamber (60°C)

Temp: 350°C Nozzle / 120°C

BedSpeed: 600 mm/s (Acceleration 20,000 mm/s²)

Why Choose It:

The flagship. The K2 Plus offers a massive 350mm³ capacity for huge prints. It is the only unit in the series with a 350°C Nozzle and 120°C Bed, allowing it to handle the most demanding high-temp polymers (like PPS and PPA-CF) that lesser machines cannot melt.

<em>K2 Pro</em>

K2 Pro

The Engineering Sweet Spot

Best For: Education, Small Business, Engineering, and Advanced Makers wanting to print in strongest available materials.

The Hardware Difference:

Build Volume: 300 x 300 x 300 mm

Chamber: Active Heated Chamber (60°C)

Temp: 300°C Nozzle / 110°C Bed

Speed: 600 mm/s (Acceleration 20,000 mm/s²)

Why Choose It:

This is where "Pro" performance begins. The addition of the Active Chamber Heater forces the internal temp to 60°C, preventing warping in engineering materials like ASA and PC. Combined with a generous 300mm³ volume and a hotter 110°C bed, it is the versatile workhorse for functional parts.

<em>K2</em>

K2

The Enclosed All-Rounder

Best For: Hobbyists, Primary Schools, Makers who mostly make aesthetic models.

The Hardware Difference:

Build Volume: 260 x 260 x 260 mm

Chamber: Fully Enclosed (Passive Heat)

Temp: 300°C Nozzle / 100°C Bed

Speed: 600 mm/s (Acceleration 20,000 mm/s²)

Why Choose It:

The standard K2 steps up to a Fully Enclosed chassis with glass panels. This enclosure traps passive heat from the bed, creating a stable environment for standard ABS prints and reducing noise. It hits the "sweet spot" for general-purpose makers.

<em>K2 SE</em>

K2 SE

The Entry-Level Gateway

Best For: Entry Level / Beginners and Home Users making asthetic models only interested in printing in PLA / PETG and TPU.

The Hardware Difference:

Build Volume: 220 x 215 x 245 mm

Chamber: Open Frame (Not Enclosed)

Temp: 300°C Nozzle / 100°C Bed

Speed: ≤ 500 mm/s (Acceleration ≤ 2000 mm/s²)

Why Choose It:

The K2 SE is the accessible entry point. By utilising an Open Frame design, it reduces cost while keeping the core CFS compatibility. It is optimised for safe, low-temp materials like PLA and PETG, making it the perfect "first printer" for classrooms where high-heat enclosures are not required.

Creality Filament System (CFS)

🌈Multi-Colour & Multi-Material

All K2 Series printers are built to work with the Creality Filament System (CFS). This sealed, intelligent material station allows for:

  • 16-Colour Printing: Daisy-chain up to 4 units for vibrant, complex models.
  • RFID Recognition: Automatically identifies Creality filaments to set the perfect temperature and flow rate.
  • Backup Strategy: Automatically switches to a new spool when the current one runs out, ensuring your long prints never fail due to empty spools.

Auto Filament Identification

The CFS reads and identified Creality RFID filaments and sets correct printing paramaters.

Lock and load

Auto Filament Relay

When a filament spools runs out the CFS can automatically select the next compatible roll and keep printing.

No more run run out anxiety!

🔥 Active Chamber Heating

K2 Pro and K2 Plus feature:

The Creality K2 Pro and K2 Plus feature a dedicated Active Chamber Heater that forces the internal environment to a stable 60°C.

Why "Active" Chamber Heating Matters

Many enclosed printers claim to be "ABS Ready," but they rely on Passive Heating—simply trapping the heat radiating from the print bed. While this works for small parts, the internal air temperature rarely exceeds 45°C. For large or dense engineering parts, this isn't enough.

K2 Pro and K2 Plus Active Heated Chamber.

Here is why heat changes everything:

1. Eliminates Warping & Cracking (The "Thermal Shock" Effect)

  • The Problem: Materials like ABS, ASA, and Polycarbonate shrink significantly as they cool. If the air around the print is cold (or even just "warmish" at 40°C), the layers contract too fast, pulling the corners off the bed (warping) or splitting the layers apart in the middle of the print (cracking).
  • The Active Benefit: By keeping the ambient air at 60°C, the plastic remains in a "relaxed" state throughout the entire print. It only cools down after the print is finished, ensuring your parts stay perfectly flat and dimensionally accurate.

2. 3x Stronger Parts (Layer Adhesion)

  • The Problem: In a cold chamber, the previous layer cools down before the nozzle returns to deposit the next one. This results in a weak "cold joint" between layers—the most common cause of snapped parts.
  • The Active Benefit: Active heating keeps the previous layer near its "glass transition" temperature. When the fresh hot filament hits it, the two layers fuse chemically rather than just sticking physically.Result: ABS parts printed in an active chamber can be up to 3x stronger in the Z-axis (vertical strength) compared to those printed in passive enclosures.

3. Unlocks "True" Engineering Materials

  • The Problem: High-performance polymers like Nylon (PA-CF), PC, and PPA require heat to flow correctly. Without it, they jam nozzles and have poor surface finish.
  • The Active Benefit: The 60°C environment reduces the viscosity of these tough materials, allowing them to flow smoothly. This gives you access to industrial-grade polymers that can withstand heat, chemicals, and mechanical stress—materials that standard desktop printers simply cannot handle.

🤖Embodied AI Monitoring

The K2 Series watches your prints so you don't have to. (Features vary by model):

  • Spaghetti Detection: Pauses printing instantly if a print detaches or fails.
  • Foreign Object Detection: Prevents collisions if a tool or part is left on the plate.
  • Real-Time Flow: Uses the nozzle camera to calibrate extrusion flow on the fly for perfect layers.
