Junior Additive Manufacturing Technician (Casual)
We are actively seeking a mechanical engineering,mechatronics, or industrial design university student to join our operations team on a casual basis. This position is structured to accommodate your study schedule. It delivers direct commercial experience with professional-grade fabrication equipment, metrology tools, and eCommerce operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate, calibrate, service, and repair a diverse fleet of FDM and MSLA 3D printers, 3D scanners, and robotic platforms.
- Produce technical marketing assets. You will assist in generating product page content, executing social media campaigns, and filming video demonstrations that showcase hardware capabilities.
- Execute hardware troubleshooting, conduct warranty repairs, and provide direct technical support to end users.
- Manage daily warehouse logistics, inventory handling, and accurate order dispatch.
- Conduct comprehensive customer demonstrations and technical training sessions on hardware configuration and software workflows.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Possesses a solid foundational understanding of 3D printing kinematics coupled with practical CAD modelling experience.
- Demonstrates capability or strong interest in digital marketing. Basic skills in graphic design, technical copywriting, or video editing are highly advantageous.
- Detail-oriented, deploying a methodical approach to problem-solving and electromechanical diagnostics.
- Highly driven to expand their technical capabilities across advanced 3D fabrication technologies, metrology, reverse engineering, and technical content creation.

Demonstrated experience configuring multi-material systems and optimising industrial print profiles is highly regarded.
- Metrology & Reverse Engineering: Specialists proficient in structured light, blue-laser, near-infrared, and terrestrial scanning operations. We look for proven experience generating highly accurate scan-to-CAD workflows using platforms like QuickSurface, EXModel, and Geomagic Design X, alongside standard metrology inspection protocols.
- Digital Marketing & Technical Content Creation: Creative specialists capable of translating complex hardware specifications into high-impact visual and written assets. We need creators who can build rich eCommerce product architectures, produce technical video demonstrations, and execute targeted social media campaigns. Proficiency in graphic design and high-level technical copywriting for B2B and retail audiences is essential.
- Institutional Sales & Procurement: Commercial operators experienced in navigating government buying pipelines. We need professionals capable of drafting curriculum-aligned project briefs and managing large-scale B2B hardware deployments across educational and manufacturing sectors.
