These e3D Nozzles have are made from hardened steel, making them suitable for 3d printing in abrasive materials without wear. Carbon fiber, glass filled filament as well as other abrasive materials cause rapid and significant damage to standard brass nozzles. A standard nozzle can be worn out within printing as little as 250 grams carbon fiber material.
These nozzles ain't pretty but are a worthy investment. They are made from steel, not brass and are thermally and chemically treated which gives them a mottled appearance.
This images shows the wear caused by 3d printing in Carbon fiber filament on a standard brass nozzle (on right) v's the Hardened Steel nozzle (on the left)
E3D nozzles come in a choice of sizes and are coded with dots on the thread. Note that E3D V-6 Nozzles are backwards compatible with e3D Hot Ends.
The 1.75mm and 3mm Hot Ends use different nozzles so ensure you purchase the correct nozzles for your Hot End!

The best printer (third) have ever had. Seamless prints with very user friendly soft ware. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone starting out in 3D printing. 👌
i love this filament
Exactly what I needed and exactly what the staff at 3D had explained to me. Very prompt return phone call to be sure I understood what I was getting, and at a good price. Thanks 3D
I used to own printers that either I have assembled myslef (Prusa Mendel) or localy made (Mendel 90) . This is my first enclosed printer and already after playing one day it look to be the one, well for time being :-) QIDI Plus 4 suits me well as it combined open software and well made printer suitable for large range of filaments. Adding later QIDI Box (AMS unit) will make chanfing filaments easy.
The support I received for my out of warranty UP BOX printer helped me make the cost efficient purchase that solved my heat issue. They pre-bent the cable to fit my printer specification which is helpful since if i did it wrong it could fail to work properly. All up great experience working with 3dprintersuperstore and FFC Extruder cable working as expected.
