Sermoon P1

The Creality Sermoon P1 is a professional-grade standalone 3D scanner capable of 0.02mm accuracy without a PC tether. It utilises a hybrid light engine consisting of a 22+7+1 blue laser matrix and dual NIR structured light to digitise objects ranging from 5mm precision components to 4-metre automotive assemblies. Integrated Qualcomm 8-core processing and a 6-inch HD touchscreen allow for real-time mesh generation and on-device editing, establishing a new benchmark for portable metrology in car restoration, engineering, and STEM education.

Surface adaptability remains the primary hurdle for most handheld scanners. The P1 resolves this through a triple-mode laser array:

• 22 Crossed Blue Laser Lines: Provide rapid coverage for large geometries.
• 7 Parallel Lines: Capture high-definition surface details for metrology.
• Single-Line Laser: Targets deep holes and narrow crevices with a 6:1 depth-to-diameter ratio.

Stable tracking on polished aluminium and jet-black carbon fibre without the need for matting sprays.

Metrology no longer requires a workstation tethered by cables. The Sermoon P1 collapses the entire scanning and processing workflow into a single 830g unit. Internal architecture centres on a Qualcomm 3.36 GHz processor paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. This hardware allows for instantaneous point-cloud fusion; data processing happens as you move. A 6-inch HD display provides 160° viewing angles, ensuring high-visibility feedback even in bright Australian outdoor conditions.
