Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch
The Bambu Lab Filament Track Switch is an active routing module engineered for dual-nozzle multi-material 3D printers, enabling dynamic, automated filament routing between connected AMS units and dual toolheads without manual spool re-grouping or physical tube swapping.

Dynamic Multi-Material Workflow
Standard dual-extrusion architectures traditionally bound dedicated AMS channels to fixed toolheads, forcing operators to physically swap spools when print jobs required specific color or material distributions across left and right nozzles.
The Filament Track Switch decouples AMS physical array slots from specific extruders. Integrating directly into the printer’s control loop via a 6-pin bus connection, the unit executes real-time dynamic re-mapping during multi-color sliced jobs. When Bambu Studio assigns a filament profile to a target printhead, the internal selector mechanism moves the active PTFE pathway, feeding material precisely where required.
