EinScan Trak: Modular 3D Digitisation System

System Overview: The EinScan Trak is a dual-mode, multi-laser 3D scanning system engineered for marker-free tracking. Incorporating Wi-Fi 6, an integrated high-capacity battery, and quick-release handheld modules, it captures high-fidelity geometry and texture using three distinct blue laser profiles (cross, parallel, and single-line). This modular architecture delivers professional-grade accuracy for reverse engineering, automotive modification, and large-scale asset digitisation.

Unconstrained Operator Workflow

The hardware architecture prioritises physical freedom on the workshop floor. Driven by an onboard battery and a high-bandwidth Wi-Fi 6 module, the system allows instantaneous switching between wired tethering and fully wireless operation. The handheld unit detaches in seconds. This eliminates cable drag. Operators can maneuver around complex, large-scale geometries without restrictive tethers or setup delays.

Adaptive Optical Engine

Marker-free tracking operates natively across both track and independent scanner modes, drastically reducing preparation time on complex surfaces. The optical system projects three specific blue laser configurations to match the physical demands of the part:

  • Cross-line: For rapid, comprehensive volumetric capture.

  • Parallel-line: For high-resolution detailing on fine features.

  • Single-line: For penetrating deep recesses and complex blind spots.

Native texture scanning captures accurate surface colour data simultaneously with the geometric mesh, providing a complete digital twin in a single pass.

Multi-Disciplinary Application

By consolidating multiple light sources and form factors into one cohesive unit, the EinScan Trak eliminates the need for multiple single-purpose scanners. It scales seamlessly across demanding professional environments. The system meets the strict tolerances required for mechanical reverse engineering, captures the delicate surface topography of cultural heritage artefacts, and easily manages the sweeping physical scale of full automotive body modifications.
