0.15mm Experimental Nozzle

Very well made, but they clog extremely easily - which is to be expected. I haven't yet been able to get them to print properly but I'll keep trying...

Good quality

The E3D-V6 hot end kit is a good quality product and retrofitting my 3D printer with it wasn't too difficult, but getting good quality prints out of it wasn't so straight forward. After re-leveling the bed and the nozzle to bed reference point, it took a lot of trial and error before the print quality finally exceeded the original hot end. I put this down to the slicing functions and using different slicing engines with the repetier firmware. First layer print quality and fill was the big issue! The slicing engines have a default extrude value of 200% for the first line and in doing so they reduce the line count with the expectation that the hot end will give more extrusion and a fatter line, but the E3D-V6 nozzle doesn't! So I have reduced first line extrusion value to 100% to increase the line count and manually increase flowrate through the nozzle to 150% in order to get a complete fill for the first two layers then revert to 100% flow for the rest of the build. This gives me a high quality first layer, albeit a manual operation for the first layers.

Excellent

Couldn't be happier. I've had my little Monoprice V2 for about a year and the best thing I have ever done was get the E3D V-6 Lite and a 0.2mm nozzle
