Bambu PPS-CF is a high-performance engineering plastic made from carbon fiber-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide. It combines the properties of PPS resin and carbon fiber to deliver exceptional performance in demanding applications.
PPS-CF has a heat deflection temperature of up to 264°C and can be used continuously at temperatures over 200°C. This is significantly higher than standard PA-CF materials and provides excellent resistance to creep (deformation under long-term stress).
The material achieves a UL-94 V-0 flame retardant rating, the highest classification for plastics. This means it self-extinguishes within 10 seconds after the flame is removed, making it ideal for electronics and automotive parts where safety is critical.
The combination of stiff PPS polymer and reinforcing carbon fiber gives PPS-CF exceptional stiffness, bending strength, and tensile strength. Its high dimensional stability prevents warping, ensuring that large, high-precision prints maintain their accuracy.
PPS-CF offers outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including solvents, acids, bases, and salts. It is virtually insoluble in any solvent below 200°C, with chemical stability second only to PTFE (Teflon).
With a moisture absorption rate of just 0.05%, PPS-CF maintains its mechanical and thermal properties even in humid environments. Unlike materials like PA-CF that can soften when exposed to moisture, PPS-CF remains strong and durable.
