This is a 1kg 1.75mm roll of PC filament - also known as Polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is an incredibly strong filament, known for it's high temperature resistance, strength, and optical clarity. When 3D printed, the parts are about as clear as any FDM 3D print can be, while also being amazingly strong, and withstanding temperatures of over 110 degrees before starting to buckle.
Polycarbonate's high temperature resistance comes at the price of needing to be stable and hot while printing. Polycarbonate needs to be printed in a 3D printer that has a chamber that either retains most of the heat given off by the heat bed, or has an actively heated chamber.
At the Superstore, we've found this filament prints best with a bed temperature of at least 105 degrees (aiming for 120 degrees), and a nozzle temperature of 250 degrees at the minimum, aiming for 270 degrees.
The spools are specifically designed to fit Creator Pro, Creator 3 and Guider series of 3D Printershowever they can be used on other printers that use 1.75mm material and have a heated bed.
These filaments will work well with any printer that takes 1.75mm. They might however require an external spool holder if they do not fit on the spool holder that comes with the printer.
This is a new-upgraded formulation engineered by Flashforge helps to minimize filament problems such as curling and bubbles during printing. The new anti-moisture ingredients included in this formulation permits longer storage time without loss of quality.
More precise and stable
Flashforge's new filaments have passed through high-precision laser diameter measuring test, guaranteeing stability of filament diameter, ensuring that the filament doesn't get stuck or slip during printing.
Durable for storage - better to use
Flashforge's new filament series has a damp-proof and anti-cracking formula applied to the filament in production, lengthening the storage time when not using the material. This lets you use all your filament, no matter how long it's in storage.
New process - higher pureness
Flashforge's new filament series is made up of a new formula, which is mixed and produced in a controlled and dust free workshop, preventing any possibility of dust mixing as common with cheaper brands, letting us say goodbye to needless extruder blocking
