Doesn't stand up in the long run

I think most of the positive comments here are from light users, or people that haven't had their printers for long. Whilst these printers are easy to use, they don't stand the test of time.

I have been using these printers pretty heavily for a couple of years. I have had to do a lot of maintenance myself, which I expected, but I have also had to send them back to the manufacturers pretty regularly for more serious maintenance too. The nozzles tend to jam up and can't be detached, and the circuit boards fry meaning nothing is displayed on the LCD screen. Right now one of my printers is in need of maintenance yet again and I think I'm going to bail on it, it's just too expensive shipping it off for repair all the time.

Flashforge did represent the best value in the market in 2013, but this market changes quickly. The best machines out there right now are reprap delta units. Faster, cheaper, more reliable, easy to fix yourself and a far superior build volume.

Great First Printer, Easy to setup and ues.

This is the first printer I have owned and it offers great value for money. Setup was pretty easy. For slicing software, I tried using Replicator G with some success but have found MakerWare easier. The printer is fantastic for printing small parts but I have had lots of warping issues on larger parts. ABS seems to be the most reliable material. PLA works as well but often comes unstuck from the build platform half way though a print. I have also build a wooden enclosure to reduce drafts and improve adhesion to the build platform. The SD card slot stopped working when I updated the firmware but this is not a major problem for me.

All in all it a really good printer for novices.

The Creator Dual Head 3D Printer uses open source ReplicatorG or MakerWarecontrolling software which is used to control the MakerBot Replicator, Thing-O-Matic, CupCake CNC, RepRap and other generic CNC machines.
