Great Product & great advice

This filament has extruded to perfection; no issues & no blockages and with some post processing I’ve produced some eally authentic wooden pieces. Absolutely love it! Also thanks to Mark & the team for their ongoing advice which is hard to come by in this field :+1:

This is a 0.5kg roll of Wood filament from Flashforge. This is a composite material, made of thermoplastic with real wooden particles suspended in the plastic, allowing it to be 3D printed, but retaining the feeling and many of the mechanical properties of wood.

When a print is finished, you can sand the piece, stain it, and varnish it to create the exact effect that works for what you want. Because of this, the wooden filament can be used for both the artistic and engineering applications that might require wood without traditionally being able to be easily shaped as such.

This filament comes in both light and dark colours, both of which can be stained, and then further darkened by printing at a slightly higher temperature. The lighter of the filaments is a colour akin to some pines or birch woods, while the darker filaments is closer to a darker oak or maple.

At the Superstore, we've found this filament prints best with a bed temperature of 50 degrees, but also seems very happy without a heated bed. A nozzle temperature of between 180 and 220 degrees (remembering that the hotter the nozzle, the darker the print) works well with this filament, although if you're printing with fast with big layers, a higher temperature will help stop clogging. This material is quite abrasive and should be printed either using a stainless steel nozzle, or a nozzle you don't mind replacing sooner.

The spools are specifically designed to fit Creator Pro, Creator 3 and Guider series of 3D Printershowever they can be used on other printers that use 1.75mm material and have a heated bed.

These filaments will work well with any printer that takes 1.75mm. They might however require an external spool holder if they do not fit on the spool holder that comes with the printer.

This is a new-upgraded formulation engineered by Flashforge helps to minimize filament problems such as curling and bubbles during printing. The new anti-moisture ingredients included in this formulation permits longer storage time without loss of quality.

More precise and stable

Flashforge's new filaments have passed through high-precision laser diameter measuring test, guaranteeing stability of filament diameter, ensuring that the filament doesn't get stuck or slip during printing.

Durable for storage - better to use

Flashforge's new filament series has a damp-proof and anti-cracking formula applied to the filament in production, lengthening the storage time when not using the material. This lets you use all your filament, no matter how long it's in storage.

New process - higher pureness

Flashforge's new filament series is made up of a new formula, which is mixed and produced in a controlled and dust free workshop, preventing any possibility of dust mixing as common with cheaper brands, letting us say goodbye to needless extruder blocking
