Worst printer out there, the controller boards don't last long.

The controller boards are useless, they don't last long.
They won't even help you in anyway replacing the board with a better one.
The controller boards they sell you are even worst, they don't last enough before they burn out. Keep away from leapfrog creatr printers

Great Support

I ran into some print settings issues, I'm trying a filament from a different supplier (Ninja Flex) and needed to adjust settings. Leapfrog seems to have their world wide support centralised, Diana from support helpen me out quick and helpfull. I've been making insane cool prints sine then. Normally I use MAXX filaments sold from their website but a flex material is still not available.

Great value

The Leapfrog Creatr is proven to be great added value for my engineering business. It took a while to get the hang of it, but I am now managing to turn out high quality prototypes that help me convince my clients. I was greatly helped by using Simplify3d software instead of the open source Repetier by the way, really improved the quality.

Nightmare

Hardware (Creatr): Is not able to print 0,05mm layers (as described in specification). Always struggling with clogged nozzles.
Software (Repetier Host): Almost useless. With bigger models (10x10x10cm) the software crashed while trying to slice this object. But they offer You a software replacement for some extra money.
Support: Nightmare. Support requests are not answered and get delayed over month. After 30 days of inactivity (still waiting for response) my ticket were changed to "solved" and closed (because of inactivity). Great job!
Conclusion: Do not waste Your money with this crap.

BUYER BEWARE

I bought this printer 10 months ago now, and have had an absolutely disastrous introduction to 3D printing. From day 1, I was in trouble, simply getting either a PC or a Mac to recognize it following the out of date manuals was a nightmare. I did get phone help. Then came the first signs of Z-axis problems that were to become much more serious within months. It was impossible to calibrate, the Home position was not recognized, so the glass went too high and jammed against the nozzles. Or, it stopped mm below the nozzles. Eventually some printing started, I print in ABS, sticking was an issue and endless experimentation did not help. The labels supplied more often than not ended up torn because of on going calibration problems. Eventually that Z-axis drive at the back had to be rebuilt, and the 2 Y-axis mounts were also replaced with harder steel. I bought in Australia, expecting Australian warranty, it was handed back to The Netherlands. Long distance arrangements, had my unit sent to Sydney, to a printing bureau when an engineer would do the work. It was not done by the retailer. It arravived back from this work, with only 1 of 2 nozzles functioning, not impressive. Certainly not productive.
I do thank the Dutch makers for at least undertaking that work, but not 3Dprintersuperstores which seemed intend on washing their hands of the problem. And the endless problems getting object to stick continued. More options tried, more time wasted, more calibrations done. Then at least i get to see another printer working, laying down that first layer over the whole print bed, and the penny dropped. I went back to measure the glass surface of my printbed

We are proud to introduce this ground breaking 3D printer to Australia and New Zealand. The Creatr is a real game changer for entry-level 3D printers. It is the largest 3D Printer in its class with a huge 230 x 270 x 210 mm build volume. That's over 13.6 litres! This printer now has an upgraded with improved extuders which now offer a minimum layer thickness of 0.05mm.

Look no further if you are looking for an easy to use, fully assembled machine. The laser-cut aluminum parts are all of high quality, which ensures a sturdy frame that adds durability and consistant quality printed products.

The Creatr is designed to look awesome and be the most competitive and durable 3D printer on the market. The machine features a high quality of printed product, has a large print area and has a high positioning accuracy of the print head.

Most important of all: finally a reliable and mass-produced 3D printer which is very affordable.

The Creatr has a heated bed and can print in ABS, PLA and the soon to be released PVA.

Double Slider Bearings:

Thermal Insulated Heated Build Platform:

Dual Extruder:

The Creatr with a dual extruder can print multi-coloured objects.

It can also be used to print production parts in ABS material and the support structure PLA or PVA. To remove PLA support structure from the ABS plastic, soak the print in water with caustic soda in the bath at 60 degrees for 3 hours, and hey presto, you have a finished part with all the support structure dissolved away. If you use PLA as the support structure, you can soak it in plain water without any chemical additives.

6 litre heated ultrasonic baths can be found on ebay for around $350.
