It incorporates the SL projector K11+ with a modified lens.This projector is is just perfect for Structured Light scanning with DAVID!
Its unique feature is the huge focus range: With built in a special optics for focus distances from below 90mm to "infinity". This allows the user to set up a scan according to the object size. High-res scans of objects smaller than 50mm are achievable, but also scanning large objects is possible. We have seen no other projector that is able to project patterns fine enough for scanning fingerprints in 3D! Scanners 100 times the price don't even come close to this resolution.

The David SLS-1 scanner with its included software can align merge and even capture full colour textured scans and export water-tight mesh models in common CAD file formats (stl, obj, ply) ready for 3D Printing!
