Really not happy with this ABS

I have previously bought the ExcelFil ABS from 3D Superstore which has worked really well and unfortunately no longer available, so I bought 5 FlashForge ABS as an alternate and $15/roll more expensive.

I am very close to asking for a refund, I have had no end of problems with the shrinkage, layer bonding and splitting on this ABS. This is no where as good as the ExcelFil.

I’ve played with so adjusted so many print parameters trying get this to work. I’ve wasted one whole roll on failed and unreliable test prints. I would only recommend this for small size prints, it really is useless/unreliable of larger size prints. I’ve now detroyed my $50 build plate with ABS bonding to the build surface and have to buy a new one.

I know ABS is harder to print and you need to tune your settings for each type of ABS however the ExcelFil was much easier.

These are 1kg 1.75mm ABS filaments made by Flashforge. This is the new improved formula which higher manufacturing tolerances, now +-0.2mm. This is a low cost material which prints exceptionally. The spools are specifically designed to fit on the Creator Pro and Guider printers, however they can be used on other printers that use 1.75mm ABS.

These filaments will work well with any printer that takes 1.75mm ABS. They might however require an external spool holder if they do not fit on the spool holder that comes with the printer.

This is a new-upgraded formulation engineered by Flashforge helps to minimize filament problems such as curling and bubbles during printing. The new anti-moisture ingredients included in this formulation permits longer storage time without loss of quality.
